Action Id: 37 Crisis: Participants: Silas, Michael and Ainsley
Status: Resolved Public: True GM: None

Action by Silas

The Lord Commander has redirected the men he used to guard the Nox'alfar envoy towards finding and keeping an eye on the movements and actions of the Shav'arvani who have allegedly come into Arx under the banner of House Marin. Archscholar Aldwin has informed him of House Marin's history and the fact that the bloody pirate known as Gyre also flies the same banner. While they are instructed to be civil and diplomatic, should they do anything suspicious, he wants to be informed of it.
Upon discovering the 'prodigals' are still under the influence of the Gyre, and likely meddling with the minds of the Lower Borough citizens and causing them to act violently and kill themselves, Silas has mobilized the guard to find the abandoned, apprehend them, and relinquish them into the custody of House Thrax. A retinue of fifteen guards, along with Silas himself, will be dispatched to carry out this action. Other guardsmen may also pitch in.

If the abandoned resist arrest, the Iron Guard will be ordered to use force to make them comply. Should things get dangerous, they will be permitted to defend themselves, even if it means killing the men they are tasked with apprehending.

Just in case they're overwhelmed, the guard retinues stationed nearby are informed of the whereabouts of the confrontation and ordered to assist if necessary.

Action by Michael

Michael joins Silas's actions to apprehend those meddling with the Lower Borough citizens.

Action by Ainsley

Ainsley will be leading a back up retinue of guardsmen, just in case things go badly.

Result

Almost disappointingly, the Kraken's Kin that have been left with the vessels go extremely peacefully with Silas, a good twenty of them. 'If the Princess wills it', they say, they'll do largely anything, any potential violence ceasing once they see Zhayla. Perhaps 80 have integrated themselves well enough in the Lower Boroughs that finding them is extremely difficult, but so far there's been no signs at all that the Kraken's Kin have had anything to do with the disturbances that have been happening. Finding them is extremely non trivial, as they are not distinct ethnically, nor is their manner of dress particularly different from the tens of thousands of other prodigals, or a hundred thousand other commoners. A few can be found, but it's mostly just the twenty that were on the ships. The ones watching the ships never left until they were apprehended, at which point they are turned over to Dominic.
