Action by Agostino
After speaking with Pasquale, Agostino is going to reach out to his distant cousins in Nilanza, merchants that he knows visit there, and anyone else he knows who might have some insight into the current state of things there. Specifically, he wants to know if there is any sort of unrest or resentment toward the Marquessa or her newly-created family, but anything out of the ordinary will be made note of, and he will be poring over any letters he gets in response, looking for hints of things that the writers might not have chosen to share.
Result
Agostino reaches out - and though initially the letters he receives are glowing, he's also really trying to make a good impression. So as a follow-up he travels to Nilanza himself in order to see how people are feeling about Marquessa Lianne's overall leadership. What he finds is that the letters don't quite go far enough.
She has worked and fought and maneuvered Nilanza into a stronger position than it has been in recent memory. She has spent her own time in these lands, and taken taxes and poured them back into betterment of the lands too. More than that, this is the Lyceum, and people realize that there's more to the strength of a home than just being rich - powerful is important too. And Marquessa Lianne isn't the flashy sort (which is strange to some of these Lycene) but they notice that she moves in elevated circles and seems to know the important people throughout the Lyceum, and in other fealties besides.
Yes, the people of Nilanza are fairly pleased with their Marquessa on the whole, and with the way Malespero is shaping up. Now they're waiting to see what she's going to do with it next.
