Justice By Shark

Posted by Apostate on 07/22/19
Word has spread about the death of Countess Sabine Tessere's husband, the Count Karadoc Tessere nee Saik. Word is that Sabine has brutally crushed those responsible, personally pushing her husband's murderer into shark infested waters, and dragging others back in chains to Fortezza di Iriscal to await judgment. Reaction is largely positive, particularly in the Lyceum, in that there's only a few ways to properly handle those who assassinate Lycene peers, and execution by shark is both greatly underused and now, thanks to Sabine, currently considered in fashion. Some Thraxian peers are modestly grumpy about a Lycene noblewoman co-opting a much more appropriate Mourning Isles punishment, and Oathlanders find it a little ghastly, but it's overall approved of- provided it wasn't just covering up a murder herself, of course. Some will always see conspiracy where none exist.
