Abellus and Eshra use their knowledge of the land and its inhabitants to hunt down knots of banditry. Lord Maru shines especially in this investigation stage.
As the team close in on the bandits, the Marquessa Joslyn and Lady Petra investigate in more subtle, eccentric ways, observing the body language in suspects or the speech of their relatives. And Princess Alis helps effect the arrests of the culpable. Riva's roads are much safer, and the specter of forged Valardin armor has dissipated entirely.
