Word reaches the city that after considerable effort and negotiation, two Abandoned tribes from the infamous and appropriately named Shadowood have willingly bent the knee to House Laurent; the impoverished Tribe Thistlerick and the formidable Clan Red Snake. Credit for this success is divided equally between Lord Kedehern Laurent and Baron Norwood Clement, who provided considerable protection to the negotiating team, as well the three ladies Laurent, Lady Shae, Lady Jael, and Lady Mabelle, for their excellent work in convincing the two tribes to set aside their feud and swear fealty. Particular praise is given, however, to Duke Cristoph Laurent himself, whose strong leadership brought the entire endeavor to completion, even if a number of Oathlands traditionalists grumble about yet more prodigals crowding in.
