Perhaps sensing signs of tension in the Peerage of Arvum and uncertain loyalties among Alaric IV's subjects, Duke Gabriel Bisland, the Duke of Pridehall and once Voice of the Crown moves to show his support for the current king in an unambiguous way. He applies and is granted a special dispensation from the King's Own to renounce his title, naming his son Lord Michael Bisland as the next Duke of Pridehall, and declares he is joining the King's Own to dedicate the remainder of his life to the safety and success of the current king. It shocks the peerage, and that are scarcely few historical examples of a powerful noble setting aside rank, title and family to join the King's Own. In a public statement, the now Sir Gabriel Bisland simply said, "None Greater than Grayson, and none more loyal than Bisland."
