Choice and Responsibility

The Marquessa's proclamation as Voice of Pravus sets the peerage and politically savvy abuzz. The reaction from many peers is highly positive. The Isles have a particularly strong sense of approval: this is exactly how it is done, in their minds. The Lyceum mutter a bit about Pravus' contributions to this problem, but if the Sins have come to their senses, then maybe it's a sign that the youngest Great House is taking its responsibilities seriously. One group is quite upset, however: ambitious courtiers who were hoping to benefit from the laxity of the peerage. Several affairs are broken off, and angry functionaries throw up bureaucratic protests...but they are easily replaced. Something they know all too well as many residing in the Crown Apartments have been found en masse in city bars, drowning their sorrows and getting into the odd bar fight.
