Duke Cristoph Laurent spoke to me recently of the grand tradition of challenges and duels within the Oathlands, and their place of pride in our history and culture.
Then, the next morning, he wrote to me and asked if I put so much sugar in my tea so as to make it feel like desert sand in my mouth.
I challenge Duke Laurent over this, and seek a champion who will stand for me, and for all the sweet tooths of the Compact. Should Duke Cristoph's champion be defeated, I demand that he drink his tea as I prepare mine for a period of two months. He is welcome to name his own condition of victory.
