Re: Orgs, Donate, and AP

I'll put that in as a +featurerequest. Mostly, I just want to see what other people think about some of the things that have been stewing in my head about all the changes that have been going on. To get some constructive conversations going on. Mostly because I feel that if a character is putting effort into an Org that the Org itself should benefit.

But yes, I also agree that if you are not active in the Org or if the Org isn't active maybe people need to leave them... that is what I did. Besides my fealty orgs I am only in 2 orgs per Alt and I'm even debating whether or not those ones are even worth it because I haven't seen many Orgs Arcelia is in do much. The orgs I've seen the most action from are my own fealty orgs. In the end, Orgs not doing anything are now going to start hurting their memberships because people aren't going to feel they have a reason to stay. Orgs are going to have to figure out ways to make being part of their Org worth our 10ap be that running PrPs, events, or etc. If there are no benefits to staying... I'm personally not going to invest the AP but when I do invest the AP I'd like both player and Org to be benefiting in some way. Even if that is prestige that is shared in a similar way to how the Protege & Patron system works. Afterall... there are thousands of RL orgs that you know the names of... YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, Boyscouts, March of Dimes, etc... you know their names because of the work people have put into those orgs... but how many of those orgs can you name individual members of? Even top ranking ones?

As to the RL feel of the donate system... Even if 'I'm' not getting anything in RL (Which we are, we get prestige and that is fine) the Org is in RL. They get my money to do their projects and while I might not be recognized for it? The org still benefits from my time or my money. So if that 10 AP or donated money was then cycled into a benefit for the Org... that would be cool and a bit more realistic. At least, that is what I'm kinda getting at... even though my thoughts might seem a bit scattered on the topic. :)
