Marquis Ford Kennex

Quick question: did you kill my brother?

If not, thanks! I appreciate it when people don't kill my brother. Not killing my brother has long been a positive aspect I regard highly in many of my friends. Thumbs up!

If so? Then congratulations. You got away with it. For now. But my suggestion to you is that you run. Leave the borders of this great kingdom and find safe harbor in another. Because you will be found. The swords that did this, and those holding the strings on those swords, will not remain hidden forever. There are few who so love to boast so much as a sellsword. So take comfort in the time you have left and hope that when you are found it is one of my straightforward, practical cousins who finds you, because a blade to the heart is fast and neat while an impractical, impetuous creative such as myself will see you presented to the sea, and that will be the start. In story and song, on page and on the stage, there will of a defaming of your name such that your parents will disown you, your loved ones will turn from you, your children will change their names, your friends will deny knowing you and your favorite dog will go to live with that guy you really hate, you know the one. You will be burnt to the ground and the earth that gave birth to you salted.

To see the atrocity at Breakshackle made right I am here offering a reward of one million three hundred thousand silver to the individual who offers information that brings the perpetrators of this act to Stormward's justice. I have retained the services of the Crimson Blades to assist me in following up on leads. This wrong will be righted and justice will prevail.

In the name of Marquis Ford Kennex, the Great Liberator of the Mourning Isles, who died among those he freed, I am also starting a fund to assist those who will be actively working to assist the transition of freed thralls to their new lives, whether it be relocating them, housing them, feeding them, clothing them, uniting them with loved ones or something else entirely. Simply forward your project details to me and my assistants will see to it that funds are distributed as appropriate.
