The Sweetest Things

Dearest Compact,

It has come to my attention that there is a debate about just whom is more deserving of cookies; those that can afford them, or those that would truly appreciate them.

In these trying times, where conflict is risen like some raging river set on pulling us under, it's easy to forget that there are those that go without, whilst still we expect them to give everything -- including their very lives -- to defend a city that might not have treated them as well as they should.

With this in mind, Seraceni pledges 10,000 economic writs to split between the soup kitchen and orphanage in the Lowers, 5000 to each to feed and support those who are struggling.

We urge others to join in a campaign to bring cookies to all, great and small, for richer or poorer.

Not because a silk is unworthy of them, or less entitled to their enjoyment, but because everyone should be able to partake in the small, sweet things that this world yet has to offer in the bitter wake of current, and likely future events.

- Marquessa Avita Seraceni

P.S. We congratulate Lord Mattheu Rivenshari and Lady Ann Rivenshari on the birth of their child, and welcome them to partake in the bounty of our generosity, of course, should they be willing to donate some of their own wealth (and perhaps cookies baked by their staff) with those that have been left without for so long.

And remember always: Seraceni cares. Pravus prevails.

They don’t need cookies, they need actual food, clothing, and warm homes.

Yes, darling, that's why I've offered writs that they can use to bring whatever is needed to these people in unfortunate circumstances. However, given the original debate was about cookies, I thought it appropriate to make mention.

In the interest of peacekeeping, House Acheron shall send a donation to the Ulbrans for the soup kitchens, as well as cookies to Lord Mattheu Rivenshari and Lady Ann in honor of their recent birth announcement.
