The Faith Protects

A reminder is made that the Faith remains in a position where we recognise a threat to the Church, and to its children. This period, beginning with the Eurusi invasion, has seen a string of threats fuelled by those who march under the Centipede Banner. To answer this, the Faith raised me to Carnifex of the Faith - empowered will the full powers of the Faith to act in its defense, as the post has in the past. And the Faith has remained strong, and thrived.
If there is to be a call to crusade, you will hear it from my lips or read it from instructions to your Parish under mine or the Dominus' seal. If there is an enemy of the Faith, you will know it because I will be running towards it with Crusader outstretched.
The Faith is understanding and forgiving, it knows passions can run high and no-one would truly intend to seek to usurp the powers of the Dominus, his Legates or the Carnifex. But we make this statement to re-assure people that the Faith is strong.
I have commissioned Dame Ida Ferron, beloved of Gloria, to raise up 7 new war trebuchets to join our armies and bring us to holy 13. And from my own funds I commission two new Caravels, the Most Holy Orazio and the Honour, to the Templar fleets. Let us remember the man whose death proved the low nature of our enemy, and the pinacle of our own ideals. These are just the beginning. The Faith shall always protect the innocent, as Gloria commands.
