Duskshire Mourns

Posted by Margerie on 12/13/23
It is my heartbreaking responsibility to announce the death of my husband, Norwood Clement - the stalwart baron of Duskshire and Sword of Artshall.

He fell defending Reveillon, rallying in his final moments to end a threat to the whole of the Compact. Queensguard, sword of House Laurent, was shattered in the battle, and the fragmented pieces will be returned to Artshall. Both losses are tragic, but we stand with pride knowing that our Norwood - honorable, loyal, and even sweet - struck a grievous blow to those who march under a centipede banner.

I am stepping down as baroness so that his - our - daughter, Adalyn Clement, may assume her rightful place as Baroness of Duskshire, with her husband, Baron-consort Vitalis Clement, at her side. With their leave, I will remain within the house and serve as an advisor in order to see the continued success of Duskshire and our people.

Always Faithful.

All men die, but few so well as did my Uncle Norwood. He was and was again, a hero of legend and from beginning to the end, was no truer friend. Although we sorrow now, I and House Redire will remember him always with great fondness, gratitude and admiration.
