Rite of Confession

The Faith of the Pantheon wants to remind all of the divine Rite of Confession and reiterate it's purpose, and urge all to avail themselves of it.
Under the sacred promise of confidential privilege, any person may request the ear of a Godsworn - any Godsworn - and relieve themself of the weight and burden of their secret thoughts, hidden anxieties, and misdeeds. They may also request secret counsel.
The Godsworn's duty is to hear these and offer counsel only if requested, and record them for the Black Journals. It is preservation of knowledge and bringing the unknown to light.
Confession is backed by many ideals, but the rite is understood to be in the province of Vellichor. You will not be judged. You will not be made to do penance. Your Confession is sacred and preserved. The penalty for any Godsworn violating their charge of confidence is severe, and I see that it is enforced stringently. So you need have no worry that your confessions will travel to ears beyond your Godsworn of choice.
Only confessed acts or intent that directly and expressly threatens the body of knowledge protected by Vellichor are actionable. This but no others, no matter how severe one conceives their transgressions to be.
At this time I implore the citizens of Arx to take heed and avail themselves of the Rite of Confession.

As a reminder, the Consultations offered by Mirrormasks are as confidential as Black Journals. Anyone caught breaking this sacred trust will be kicked out of the shrine and charged with crimes against the Faith. If confidentiality has been broken, seek me out personally.
