Sanctum Survives

Sanctum Survives.
It does so because of the sacrifices that many people made in battle. And there are some that should be acknowledged.
Lord Kastelon Keaton: A friend, a comrade in arms, a cousin to the Prince Consort. He fought fiercely, and is to be honored.
Duchess Clover Farshaw: Seeing so many injured, including her own beloved Duke Ryhalt, she sacrificed herself in a blaze of renewing glory; a Phoenix that turned a swath of the abyssal attackers to ash while healing the worst of the wounded.
The list continues. On and on and on, relentlessly, detailing the battle deeds of the dead. Until, at the very end, there is another statement.
Sanctum does not stand because of the strength of its walls, but the strength and love of its people. I am both filled with grief at the number who perished, and also with pride for how hard we fought.
And now it is time to fight for Arx and the rest of Arvum.
Steel Bends, Honor Holds.
