We have lit the Ostrian Watch Tower with blue flame, so that our allies in Lenosia might see that the Walled City still stands - as if it could be ever thus. For every drop of blood we shed, for every life lost, the enemy was not permitted to overrun us. We have thinned the hordes, that others might have more time to seek refuge in Arx, though we ask mighty House Velenosa to forgive us for leaving them so little to winnow. House Mazetti has ever been quite enthusiastic about punching above its weight.
The heroes who stood among us are too many to name here, but I wish to personally thank Dame Reese for her decision to fight alongside my people. May Gloria ever hold her dear. To Marzio, Theron, Miranda, you held the line where it mattered most, and I would have been lost without you.
