For the Sake of the King

We of the Silver Swords forswear family, inheritance, and all other duties to devote our minds, our hearts, and the strength of our arms to one cause, and one cause only: defense of the Crown.
There is turmoil in the realm. It is not our duty to decide who will steward the Faithful. It is not our place to influence the Peers of the Realm to our own ends, or to refute or propose any person or body as regent for the King while he sleeps.
No, our place is with the King. Our duty, is to the King. Until this question of regency is resolved, we will be with him - our living, breathing King of the Compact, Alaric IV. Let it be known that we of the King's Own will allow no one to see the King, until the Compact's leadership is resolved to our satisfaction. We will deny his family. We will deny the Dominus. We will deny peasant and prince alike, and we will not be merciful if those denials are questioned.
Our thanks to High Lord Edain Valardin, who has supplemented our forces with fifty of his own Sworn Swords. We are vigilant. We are strong, despite the attempts to chew away at our numbers. We will not fail in our duty.
