Palace Safety and Beasts

Posted by Rymarr on 02/22/17

The Sovereign's Own Royal Guard recognize that some individuals within the city of Arx adore their pets and would not seek to deprive owners of animals of service from their masters. The various animals that some have trained to act as their personal message carriers will continue to be permitted within the palace.

Larger companions such as hounds, bears, and the like will not be permitted beyond the palace gates. The exception to this ruling is as follows: His Imperial Majesty King Alaric Grayson IV and the King's Own royal guard utilizing beasts in aid and pursuit of their duties. An additional exception to this rule is the royal stablemaster, Tristan.

The next time a large beast is discovered in the palace, whether it's master claims it to be of expert training or not, it will be put down. Do not confuse the palace with your personal kennels or the menagerie.

An additional exception to this ruling will be sloths. I have been assured that despite their apparent ferocious appearance(namely in the instance of their claws) that they are quite docile and meek. Sloths may continue to maintain a presence beyond the palace gates; whether they act as a messenger or otherwise.

Thank you.

Sir Rymarr Lyonesse
