It is probably not a well kept secret that Prince Victus and I do not care for each other. I do not approve of how he claimed his title, and I never will.
But let it be known that House Valardin praises his decision to name Princess Donella his heir and the changes he has made to the laws of succession. I hope this is the beginning of the Mourning Isles becoming a more active partner of our Compact, instead of setting itself apart from it as they often have in the past.
May this be the beginning of all of us, understanding each other little better. Sea Serpents are powerful and proud, but if they ever need a Dragon to fight beside them, they have but to ask.
