The Courtyard is covered in smashed oyster shells. Little pieces scattered everywhere.

I came to a realization that I don't really enjoy doing comissions. They stress me to no end! I am making something for someone else and worried about capturing that person in each piece I create. What I discovered is that I find it truly fulfilling to work /alongside/ a person to create their masterpiece! If that person puts their hand and soul into the weapon or their piece of armor, then it becomes something far more valuable than silver. It becomes a /part/ of them. The piece develops a soul. I think from now on, that is how I will handle comissions. Oh, this will lead to some interesting stories and pieces.

I have been given the pleasure to work with General Keaton to forge a beautiful new suit of armor. My first love will always be forging weapons, but this suit will be something else. I just hope that it will truly be everything the General will want.

Princess denica's event was marvelous! It's been a long time since I had oysters, and honestly I'm still not overly keen on sea food for various reasons. But the event was brilliant and truly stupendous fun! And there are plenty of uses for a shucking knife besides shucking!!

I took a walk on the beach with winter and chanced upon Lord Pasquale walking cousin Sunaias dugs as well as Lady Ivy. What did we do. Chat about our respective research watching our dogs play in the wqves. A pleasant and beautiful evening

Duke Laurent has proven to be a prodigious research partner and was able to furnish me with documents and notes that I'd yet to locate in the Archives. There is nothing quite so rewarding as finding someone who's areas of interest align so closely with my own and I very much look forward to continuing to work with him in the coming months.
