I scribe this in honor of Marquessa Reigna Keaton. Her life was an inspiration to us all. Her loss is unimaginable pain.

Our torn hearts of stone beat with love and loss
Yet mourning is not the end for us all

I had a conversation yesterday and I mentioned the recent quiet in the city makes me uneasy and the longer it is, the more I fear of what will come at its end. It took less than 10 hours for the news of the Marquessa's death to reach the city. I should have never spoken.
While we were never close, I will always remember her as one of the first to welcome me to the city with open arms, giving me my first physician's robe that while others since moved to other designs remained with me to this very day. Her guidance and tutelage and her blessed talent is robbed from me and others and the city as a whole.
May she find peace and her family solace and strength to carry on.

I awoke several days whence from a dream. Not feverish, but one of intense inspiration. The sign of the Triad of Arts and Science faded from my vision as my eyes adjusted. And then I saw it -- a vision of something to inspire all who see it -- a suit of armor.
Crimson armor, finished to represent the blood of all those who sacrifice. Fine inscriptions, art that walks with me, for Jayus. And in that art, images of illumination, books, learning, for Vellichor. It will be glorious.
I have found the proper smith to assist me in this. I will build it. With my own hands.

It is good to be back. There is much to learn about the compact in my time away. People have been accepting, I have had spars. It has been a good time back.

I had a good time today with Caspian, Ilira Mattheu (if only briefly), Cassiopeia, and Raven. Laughs were shared, and new friendships were formed. I really liked Cassiopeia. She had been wanting to meet with me again since I am close to Savio and that has filled me with joy. New people are new puzzle pieces in life and watching them, without judgement, try to fit into this big puzzle of life we live is something I enjoy being around. The growth and different sides of each of us is a splendid work of art. It was a good idea to listen to Ilira and put myself out there more. What else does life here in the compact have to offer me as an experience to learn from and grow from?

The Courtyard is covered in smashed oyster shells. Little pieces scattered everywhere.
