Fuck I hate water, but I be grateful for not being keel hauled in a pool.

Let it never be said that I tolerate poor behavior amongst the Few. Or, rather, let it never be said that I tolerate poor behavior that gets caught. If you're going to misbehave, at least be good enough at it that I don't have to hang you for it. I swear, if that's what they're getting caught at, you just never know what someone's -really- up to. Anyway, moral of the story, be good enough to not get caught. Rule Number... um... I forget what my last number was. Let's say nine. So that's rule ten of being a sellsword.

I'm going out of my recluse at the Kennex Kay and taking a short break on writing plays and other publications to go out exploring Arvum and see what it has to offer to House Kennex and me--it might well serve an inspiration for my next writings. For now, I'd like to meet my valiant if reckless brother, the Marquis of Kennex, Ford (hope I'm no longer a babbling infant to him), and Octavia the sharp-minded (and sharp-tongued), the eldest in my family, the Chief Magistrate of the Crown Court of Arx, as well as the Voice of House Kennex. I hope that in the future I can also meet my capricious if highly imaginative and creative little sister Cecilia, on her homecoming from her study in medicine at the Apothecary College. Then, I'll meet and greet the rest.

The town is much how I remember but there are so many tailors now. So many. I mean on one hand it is wonderful to see Jayus so inspiring in other ways it is a conflict, I suppose. I am not remiss in my realization that I am a chosen vessel in my skills, but sometimes I just wonder. Also if you are reading this and you need a trend (I don't just do 'clothes' ugh) that is artwork, feel free to message me.

I have met up with my brother to catch up on his life. Why is it that every time I am away the big lug manages to get himself in trouble? I have met a courtesan who says there is more than what I think of his career. We shall see if he manages to become a muse of inspiration or not. Also, I won a drinking game, so I think I am upholding my side of the family well. I do think that I need to branch out and make some friends or contacts. We shall see how it turns out. Also, perhaps I will find some 'dame'ly inspiration to conceive something of silks or such.

Relationship Note on Talen

I am not dramatic. I am just right. Also it not my fault that my DEAREST cousin is lacking in what he provides. The shame tarnishes my beating heart with each non-dramatic moment. I long for the days where the whiskey flowed free and he just knew that it should be waiting. Ahhh.. the poor man. I wonder if he has gone soft in his position. I find myself non-dramatically longsufferingly sighing in the wake of his name. Once a good drinking partner, now just another man speaking politics. My heart it bleeds. It mourns. --- I still don't have whiskey.

My shop, is my shop. It's my little world.

You don't fucking like my world and how I am in it, you go take your money to Petal, or Aurora, Saya or the dozen others.

But my shop is my world and the clothes I make are clearly worth dealing with my tongue from the looks of my bank account.

Relationship Note on Eirene

Thank you, dear Eirene, for seeing my concerns so well addressed.

For those who may be reading this, please know that I am ever available to assist regarding this matter and any other regarding the health and welfare of the people.

---

It has been brought to the attention of the Ministry of Health that there are currently sick and infected creatures in the Grey Forest. This pronouncement is to accompany the already existing provisions and recommendations in place.

Effective immediately, all scouting parties or persons in the Grey Forest who report injuries, specifically bites by abnormal or sickly animals, are to report to a fully trained Mercy or member of the Physician's Guild for examination and treatment upon return to the city. This is to ensure no infections or complications arise. This also applies to any refugees rescued or brought in with the parties in the forest.

Any and all infected or tainted creatures killed are to be disposed of and burned unless kept for specific study purpose with the sanction of the Ministry of Defense, Inquisition, the Faith, or other authorized parties. For the public welfare and personal safety of those involved, taking trophies or keeping any remnants of tainted creatures or persons will be considered illegal and punishable by fine. Any with remnants are welcome to present them to the Mercies or Physician’s Guild for disposal within the next fourteen days without penalty.

Done by both the will of the Crown and the Faith,

After a second skirmish in the Forest, Riven recognizes Lord Killian Ashford, Lady Joslyn Stonewood, Master Rickard Corsetina, and Shard Wolfs-bane who fought well and bravely beside me against a horror from beyond the world.

Master Sergei Mujeriego, whose noble work saw three people to safety.

Riven extends special recognition to Lady Eirene Malvici, who fought in the battle and stitched me back together once it was over.

Yesterday I spent time in the Shrines of nature, Lagoma, Mangata and Petichor. Archlector Madeleine and I spoke for some time of wind and waves, of inspiration. At the shrine of Lagoma Fortunato sat painting so close to the fire that his canvas was singed and it was a wonder he did did not get singed as well. He is an interesting man, seems to paint the way I improvise music, from his thoughts and surroundings, and yet can be so serious when speaking of worries and changes. Sometimes after a cycle of visiting each shrine it seems like a bit of insight or understanding has been gained, a learning process.

That was a really scary wolf...
And if it was scary being dead, I don't want to know how horrible can it be being alive.
If I could I keep everyone from going into the forest... There are so many people coming back hurt!

I have found a frame for a mirror just sitting about at the Sanctum of Reflection. It hits me as curious, because often you don't find a frame lacking a mirror in a place where mirrors seem to be the most common.
