I've enjoyed the candor of the refugees I've spoken to since the tragedy, even if they've not all been eager to accept the invitation to shelter in Reveillon. They're good, decent folk, and it will be a glorious day when they can all finally return to their homes in Artshall. I'm quite certain that nearly every one of them wish to be living again behind those familiar high walls on that ancient granite bluff, with the verdant green vale stretching out below, secure beneath the banners of House Laurent. Until then, they, and Duke Cristoph will have House Redire's full and continued support (and surplus cabbages).
I pray to the gods that all this hardship shall pass, for justice to be done and that, with Petrichor's blessing, this year's harvest be bountiful.

That being said, I am currently working on eleven new outfits for the shop, all of them in various stages of finish, as well as next month's mystery boxes. But I did take a walk the other day and heard two very beautiful stories. Baby steps.

Guess they can be my little protectors when needed. I am glad they are learning. Here can be a strange place sometimes and better to be over protective than not at all.

Bringing forth something from nothing, praying for rain, praying for the soil to yield a good harvest, praying that pests will find other fields, praying a late or early frost doesn't ruin your yield, praying that those once rare fiery moons are a sign of abundance.
There are always years where yields are low. Where crops fall to insects or blight, but the most painful loss stems from those who destroy with indiscriminate carelessness.
To those who take pride in reaving, in destroying, to ruining that which people grew, cultivated, built, and cherished, and can say so with a smile on their face, I'll happily offer to give you fewer teeth to smile with.
Your pride is hollow, your words are empty, and your spirit barren as the fields and villages you leave in your wake.
Boast as you will, but boast far from me.

Standing right in the middle of it all
Is a group that's both deadly and small
Bravery shows in their words and stance
"Come on thugs, draw blades, lets dance
"Do you know with whom you dare deal?
"Don't wait around, draw your steel.
"You'll find Lord Ian, a hero of 1008
"Stands ready for you to meet your fate
"He and his band of talented friends
"Will see that killers meet their ends.

The old man fell silent then, so I asked him what was supposed to be the moral of that ridiculous story. He said if you couldn't tell, you shouldn't throw shoes.

It feels as though you're falling apart.
The world seems gray, the sky turns black,
And everything you once loved, you now lack.
The tears they come and flow like a stream,
A heavy weight that you can't redeem.
Your heart aches with a profound pain,
As though it will never beat again.
You try to smile, to put on a face,
But the sadness lingers, it won't erase.
The laughter that once filled the air,
Is now replaced with a silent despair.
Oh, how it hurts to be so sad,
To feel like the world is just too bad.
But remember that this too shall pass,
And brighter days will come at last.
So hold on tight, and don't let go,
For even in the darkness, there's a glimmer of hope.
And know that you're not alone in this,
For many others feel the same sadness.

Relationship Note on Tesha
My soul has felt tired. It was during the assault against Bastion and everything that happened until months after we reclaimed our city. I swear, at times, it still feels tired, but I will not let that stop me from the things that need doing. There's just much too much that needs to be done.
I hope that you find something to keep yours going as well.
