Either you can let yourself be carried swiftly by it, or you stubbornly tack and tack and tack again beating to windward.
Whenever I find out something new, I am tempted (okay, who am I kidding.. MORE than tempted) to flow along that new knowledge but if I do, I get carried away from where I wanted to go originally.
So I tack.
Why does it feel like I jibed instead and still go the wrong way?

We spoke on many topics, from dancing and the desire to visit home to how to appoint who stays behind to see to house business when such trips possible and the power of a unified compact. All fascinating and telling in their way.
I admit that our discussion about the various manors and estates about our city with private pools did pique my curiosity. No, I shall not write a guide to such, but that it seems still more common than taverns...

I dreamt of Death not long ago. She told me she almost had me in Her arms again. She didn't smile but She wasn't angry. I don't know if such things are meaningful, but I know on my last adventure I could ... it could have gone very badly. It didn't and I'm thankful, thankful to them that saved me and -her-, especially. Kyda. I keep thinking about her.
I think I'll always think about her, at least sometime in my day. Everyday.

Mostly, I feel it is the right time to act. To move in a direction where I can build a name for myself, and perhaps the foundation for a legacy.

In all seriousness, I was truly inspired this Patron's Day by the creativity of everyone around me. Whether by the performers or creators, the people that took part or those who there to experience it all. I am left invigorated by all the beauty!
Lady Mabelle did an excellent job of building a platform for everyone to shine.
I am consistently in awe of what we can do, when we have the opportunity to just do it.
And encasing my friends in plaster was fun, too!

Maybe I'm feeling it now because this was one of my favorite times of the year. Too hot to run the kiln, hot enough that the lanes don't squish - well, not as much - when you walk them. Little things that were big things.
The shop was always slow around now, too, so I could put my mind to other things.

It would not have been so if not for the artists who chose to partake in it.
I owe a debt of gratitude to all assisting hands and those who showcased their art and love for Jayus: From the beautiful ceremony held by Archlector Wylla, to the song of Nightingale Gianna, Princess Denica's marvelous work of art, Caspian Wild's song and Whisper Aconite's dance!
Thank you also to all the artists who donated beautiful paintings and sculptures for the display and to those who honored us with fashionable designs like Ilira Starling and Lord Wash Kennex.

Same thing, for the most part: both songs for keeping time, whether hauling on lines, or hauling on oars, while bored out of the skull. Much repetition in such things. A verse sung by one, a chorus sung by all, another verse, oft sung by another. I've seen it done where folk at the oars came up with verses in the moment, with only the time needed for the chorus to compose their next rhyme.
Most of such rhymes were weak, but the Wind cares not: done in the moment, any rhyme will serve.
